40 Weeks

Miss Tatum's due date has come and gone.  We have been anticipating March 15th for quite some time and did not quite expect that she wouldn't make it here by that day.  We were a little a lot disappointed but trust in God's perfect plan.

This past weekend was a pretty busy one, so it was probably a good thing that little miss did not make her debut.  First off, Addison's oldest sister, Amy, and her husband and kids all came in town for the end of Spring Break.  It is always good to be with family that we don't get to see that often.  We can't wait to be able to take Tatum to College Station/Katy one of these days to visit them!  My brother, Trent also came into town again and brought with him my parents new Australian Shepard puppy.  It has been quite a treat to see him two weekends in a row!
Getting some practice in with the new puppy.
My lap is full!
On Friday, Addison treated me to a pedicure which was amazing!  Before that though, I tried my chance at the bouncy ball to help induce labor....obviously didn't help.
Saturday, we celebrated the life of my SIL, Courtney's, sweet grandfather.  Courtney and I have known each other for a very long time so I grew up seeing "Bobo" quite a bit.  It was a beautiful ceremony and he will be very missed.
Both of the boys in a suit!
Sunday was lazy for me but busy for Addison.  After church I got to nap but Addison had to work on a few different things. I love my Sunday naps!  I also learned this past weekend that my OB was out of town for Spring Break so I was very glad when we made it through Sunday without going into labor.
I knew it would be a busy Monday and long day but I had no idea how long and busy it would be!  Monday's are my "cleaning days". I thought last week would be my last Monday to clean for a little bit but I geared up to clean house again and get it over with for the week.  My mom was super sweet and came over bright and early to help me get started since it really is so hard to clean a bathtub at over 40 weeks pregnant.  I was very thankful for her help.  After cleaning the house, the carpet cleaners came and got the carpets looking and smelling fresh.  I had a few errands to run and then mom and I headed to my doctor's appointment.  While I went to my appt, mom went upstairs at the hospital to visit my MawMaw (my mom's mom).  She had been admitted a few days before due to a few things. Addison met me at the appt and about after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, we finally got back to see Dr. Mascorro.  Tatum was moving quite a bit so her heart rate was a little high.  She checked me and what do ya know?  No change since last week.  She then sent us over to the sonogram room to measure the fluid around Tatum and get some measurements.  Everything looked good besides that stinkin' heart rate.  The nurse came in and hooked me up to monitor Tatum's heart rate for about 15 minutes to see if it would go down.  This was all due to her being so active but Dr. Mascorro wanted to make sure it would go down at some point and stay consistent for a while.  She ended up sending us over to labor and delivery to continue monitoring her.  It was about 5:30 when we started in l&d.  After a while she finally calmed down and we got to leave about 7:00.  We left with instructions to come back Sunday at 4:00 to start the induction process if she does not come on her own before then.

So, this leads us to where we are now...clean house, finished nursery, bags packed and ready to go in hopes that my body will cooperate and we won't have to wait until next Monday to meet our little girl.  You may be asking why is she waiting until over a week after my due date to induce me?  The answer is my cervix is not quite ready to be induced.  I have been praying for the last week that Addison and I would have  peace about what Dr. Mascorro decided today.  We both trust her and know that only wants what is best for baby and me.  Yes, I am tired of being pregnant and cannot wait to have our baby girl here, but I will do whatever is best for Tatum and if that means going over a week past her due date, then that's what we'll do!
40 weeks
How far along: 40 weeks, 3 days
Due date: Will not go past March 24th!
Size: Around 20 inches and somewhere around 7 lb.'s 6 oz's.
Movement: I can't even describe how active she is.  However, when someone wants to feel her move she immediately stops and "falls asleep".  Active like her daddy and stubborn like her mommy.
Sleep: Getting pretty good sleep from about midnight to 5:00 with about 3 bathroom breaks.  After 5:00, I wake up about every 30 minutes.
Symptoms: Hey, that lower abdomen and back pain that I have been "complaining" about are apparently called "contractions".  Who knew?  I got to feel and then watch for them in labor and delivery when Tatum was being monitored.  I know exactly what they feel like now so I can be on closer watch for them to get closer and stronger if that so happens.
Cravings/Aversions: Still eat whatever makes me happy.  Cannot wait to be a normal human being again and actually have to watch what I eat.
Maternity clothes: I may or may not burn them all after next week.
Best moment this week: Finding out that we have at the most, one more week until we meet our girl.
Next appointment: No more appointments!!!!

Please be in prayer with us over the next week for patience and peace!

100 Million Weeks (aka 39)

We have officially made it to due-date week!  Little girl is due THIS Saturday the 15th but will probably surpass this day.  Yesterday, I got a burst of energy and spent all morning cleaning in hopes that Dr. M would tell me later that day that I had progressed big time and she was ready to come out!  Hah!  One can hope right?  Instead I was told I had not progressed at all and that she would give me until 41 weeks.  I was a little disappointed but also a little relieved that we didn't have to make any big decisions such as inducing her before her due date.  Right now she is measuring right on track but still only about 6 1/2 lbs.  so giving her a little more time is ok with me.

Addison got home early yesterday and I could not have been more thankful.  I still had a little mopping and vacuuming to do and he jumped in there and finished it for me as all that energy I had "magically" went away but was determined to get it all done.  We went on a short walk around our neighborhood and about 20 minutes in, Millie and I both needed to be carried.  Somehow Millie won out.

Going back to last weekend, Addison and I got a ton done and we officially have everything ready for Tatum to come home.  I absolutely loved spending the whole day with Addison and was so thankful for that time together.  His middle sister, Misty and her husband and kids came in from College Station so that was a lot of fun seeing them.  My brother, Trent also came in for the weekend!  Sunday, I went to church with my parents and ate lunch while Addison had to work for a little bit.  I got in a good nap and got up just in time for our Life Group get-together at Pa and GayGay's.

Addison with sweet Macee.
This was our first get-together since life group started about a month ago, so it was a lot of fun getting to talk with everyone and seeing all the kids running around.  However, even with the time change, once 8:00 hit we were ready to head home and get ready for bed.  What a productive and fun weekend!
39 Weeks
How far along: 39 weeks, 3 days
Due date: This Saturday, the 15th!
Size: Getting close to 20 inches and about 6 1/2 lbs.
Sleep: Sleep is still hit or miss.
Movement: I don't think she gets how little room she actually has or that it hurts me when she stretches her whole body out.  I get lots of feet sticking out of my right side these days.  Crazy girl.
Symptoms: Sore feet, lots of nerve pain down my legs and back when she moves, lower back and abdomen pain, and swollen everything.
Cravings/Aversions: I eat whatever makes me happy right now.  However, I can't wait to get back into a good work-out routine and eating healthier.
Maternity clothes: I thought I was going to be able to give my borrowed maternity shirts back soon but it looks like I'll be keeping them for a little bit longer...
Best moment this week: We're only a few days in but I would have to say finishing everything around the house that needed to get done.  I would still love to plant a few flowers on my front porch and do some other things that aren't necessarily a need.
Next appointment: Monday, March 17th.  Say a little prayer she comes before then!

Clinging to the Lord's perfect timing and plan!

38 Weeks!

**Disclaimer: This post is about 5 days old but thought I would go ahead and share anyways!  I will be posting week 39 in just a day or two!

Well, I started this post at 4:53 AM this morning if that tells you anything about how I am sleeping this week.  I quickly remembered that my husband was trying to sleep next to me so I stopped typing and browsed Pinterest for the next 45 minutes.  Needless to say, I am more than ready for this little girl to be sleeping in her Moses Basket instead of in my belly. On top of not sleeping well, I have also had a little cold of some sort.  Ran a little bit of fever, body aches, sore throat and tired.  I think my immune system and body have just been physically getting run down these last couple of weeks.

My appointment on Monday (March 3rd) went well but didn't show much progress, if any, from last week.  Dr. M still gives me hope of getting to go into labor by telling me this is normal and things could change in a matter of minutes.  I have a feeling little girl wants to stay nice and cozy until her due date, which even at that, means we have less than 2 weeks until we meet her (now about a week at the most)...such a short time in the scheme of things.  I have to remind myself of this multiple times a day.

Add and I are going about our days and life as normal as possible.  We still have some things to get done in the nursery and around the house but I have to wait until Addison can help me and our nights and weekends have been completely full lately.  I am definitely ready for some quality time just me and him before Tatum gets here, which I hope we will get the chance to have this weekend (which we did and we got a lot completed!) in hopes that she will come on her own next week.  I have sort of accepted the fact that everything I wanted to get done (clean out every crevice of the whole house, basically) will not be done before she gets here.  Addison has to remind me that we will still be able to do most everything we did before Tatum gets here, just needing to prioritize those things a little differently.  I am definitely in nesting mode and want everything perfect, clean, straight and organized but am accepting that the fact that with my lack of energy and lack of ability to do a lot of things with a huge belly, things will just have to perfect as they are right now.
The only picture I got last week...had to steal this one from my mom so I wouldn't have another picture-less update.
38 Weeks
How far along: 38 weeks
Due date: March 15th (9 days!!!)
Size: She should be around 19.6 inches and the doctor said she is about 6 lb.'s.
Sleep: It is getting pretty hard to sleep.  Tuesday night (early morning) I was up for over 2.5 hours, partly because my hips were (are) killing me and partly because I was thinking about all the things we still have to do before she gets here.
Movement: 7:00-8:00 PM is when she really gets going rolling around and stretching those little legs out.  It still amazes me every single time and I know I will miss this one day!
Symptoms: Lots of pressure, lower back and abdomen pain and pretty swollen.  I can't wait to wear my wedding ring again.
Cravings/Aversions: Still have my cup of orange juice every morning.
Maternity clothes: What's most comfortable, of course, are sweatpants.  Still working with the same pair of jeans that I cannot wait to never wear again.  (Until baby #2 I guess...)  Wearing the same tops over and over again.  Feeling like a balloon that could float away at any moment if I get more swollen or eat one more dessert.
Best moment this week: My mom and I got to see Tatum one last time on Monday before she is born.  It was more of a surprise sonogram, as Dr. M wanted to make sure that she was still head down, and she was!  It was harder to make out her body parts as only a few of them fit on the little sonogram screen now that she is so big, but she got some great shots of her pouty lips and perfect face.
Next appointment: Monday, March 10th.

-I have Tatum's bag packed and ready to go!  Mine and Add's are pretty much packed, just have to throw in toiletries at the last minute and we'll be ready to go!
-Still needing to do a few things in the nursery but with Addison's crazy schedule, it will all have to wait until this weekend. (Got it all done on Saturday!)
-Trying not to wish this time away, but we are very ready to meet our little girl!

**As I reached 39 weeks on Saturday, our hopes of her coming early are dwindling.  I have had absolutely no contractions and have not progressed much at all.  I am really having to cling to the fact that the Lord is never a day early or a day late.  His timing is PERFECT.  He knows the exact day, hour and minute this little girl will make her entrance into the world.  Even though I am tired of having a big belly, hip pain, swollen everything, sore feet and just plain tired, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.  The Lord has truly blessed mine and Addison's relationship through this whole thing and taught us what life is truly about.  We cannot wait to meet our little miracle.

37 Weeks!

It's getting so close!  Here we are at 38 weeks but this post is all about 37.  I will update on 38 next week!  After the shower, my MIL, Ashlee and Courtney got busy organizing and putting away some of Tatum's gifts from the shower.  They are truly a God-send.  I tend to get overwhelmed with those type of things and with a super organized MIL and two SIL's that are here in Abilene, I truly appreciate them coming over and helping us out.  I know it made Addison happy as well.  They had everything organized so perfectly that all we had to do was pick up a few sacks with duplicates in them and return them to the appropriate store.

I also got going on all her washing and putting away of things.  So far, all of her sweet clothes are washed and put away and pretty well organized everything else.  Something I have never had to think about for a tiny baby!  There are still a few essentials that we need to go get and a little more decorating then we will be ready and waiting for sweet Tatum to be here!

I had my 37 week appointment last Monday and it went great. I haven't progressed that much in dilation-1 cm, but am now 50% effaced and head is down a little bit further.  It looks like my body is starting to cooperate and getting ready to bring this baby into the world in a just a few short weeks!

(sorry no picture this week)

37 Weeks
How far along: 37 weeks, 4 days (when I originally wrote this post)
Due date: March 15th
Size: 19ish inches and somewhere between 6 and 6.5 lb.'s
Sleep: So-so.  I think I am sleeping the best I possibly could at this point in my pregnancy.  My mom wanted to keep Millie this past Friday night (a week ago) and I slept from about 11:30-6:45.  (Millie gets down to get a drink of water at least a few times during the night and both Add and I are light sleepers and wake up every time.)  I woke up dying to go to the bathroom thinking it was the middle of the night and was so excited when I found out it was 6:45!! First time to sleep through the night in forever.
Movement: Still moving all the time.  She gets very active around 8:00 at night and it gets extremely uncomfortable.  There just isn't enough room in there anymore!  I can't wait to lay her in our bed and play before bedtime.
Cravings/Aversions: I pretty much eat whatever makes me happy right now.  I have totally hit that point of "I just really don't care" or "Yes, Addison I did have cake for breakfast...and lunch."  Coke makes me happy but I make sure to get enough water too.  Orange juice in the morning is a must.  I could eat McAllister's everyday of the week.
Maternity clothes: Still in one pair of jeans, workout pants, and I wear the same tops over and over again.
Best moment this week: We found out that Abe and Courtney are having a sweet little boy!!  The last four babies have been girls in our immediate family so a little boy is exactly what we all needed to watch over all these girly girls!  We could not be more excited for August to be here and love that little boy so much already!
Next appointment: Monday, March 3rd.

Baby Shower!

This past Saturday we had the most beautiful baby shower hosted by some of the sweetest ladies around.  We were overwhelmed by how generous and thoughtful everyone was.  The day could not have gone any better, (besides the fact that a few people didn't receive their invitation) and we were so blessed by all of the sweet gifts for our Tatum girl.

My sweet momma who has done so much for me over the past nine months.
The two grandmothers!
This will be GayGay's 9th grandbaby!
The cutest cookies I've ever seen.
Incredible food table.  I went back for multiple times...
The hostesses got us our carseat and stroller!
I had many gift-opening helpers!

The absolute sweetest quilt from one of my best friends, Cali.  It has her name on it.
So blessed.
Love my hubby.
My sweet MawMaw.  My moms mom.
The quilt up-close.  I had to fight back the tears when I opened it up!
My mom gave us the sweetest little Moses Basket for Tatum to sleep in her first couple of weeks and filled it with clothes from when I was a baby!  This is just one of the most thoughtful things she has done.  I couldn't believe all those precious clothes.  I can't wait to dress Tatum in them!
Last but not least, my precious hostesses.  We are so blessed to have each of them in our lives.

Maternity Pictures

I went back and forth nearly my whole pregnancy as to whether or not we should get maternity pictures taken.  I knew if I didn't get them done I might regret it, but then again if I did get them done, I probably would look at myself and cringe and not want to share them anywhere...  Well, we ended up getting them done by our good friend, Kelly Gilgenbach who also did our Gender Reveal pictures.  He did an awesome job, but one of the models was a bit difficult to photograph at 36 weeks pregnant.  I definitely should have jumped on this sooner and maybe would have looked a little bit more like myself.  Definitely ready for this swelling to go away!  Here are my favorites!

My boots from when I was little.

All in all, I am very thankful for these and will enjoy showing Tatum one day how big her momma got!  We are also very  thankful for Kelly's talent and would recommend him to anyone!

36 Weeks

Since I posted at 35 weeks, Add I celebrated Valentine's Day by cooking and hanging out with my parents.  After seven or so Valentine's actually spent together we keep it pretty low-key.
Addison still manages to always throw in a few goodies for me though :)
Yes, that it is a Tatum bump.  He wrote her her own little Valentine's message...sweetest thing ever.

My mom and I made a little trip to Pet Smart last week to find Millie an outfit for the Fur Ball that my parents were taking her to.  Are you starting to get a little worried for our sanity?  So am I.

This is one spoiled dog....

Meanwhile, Add and I went out with Abe and Courtney to Fuzzy's and to see "The Lone Survivor".  We always have so much fun with those two and of course, Courtney and I get a kick out of the two boys being back together.
The boys obviously were excited to take a family picture.
Last but not least...
36 Weeks
How far along: 36 weeks, 4 days
Due date: March 15th
Size: 18.66 in, somewhere between 5 1/2 and 6 lb.'s.  Size of a crenshaw melon.
Sleep: Just like last week, some nights are good and some nights I get barely any sleep.
Movement: She wiggles around all the time.  I almost want to say that she is moving more than ever.  It's getting extremely uncomfortable when she moves around but I wouldn't trade those sweet movements for the world.  She made me jump pretty bad at church on Sunday and the guy next to me got quite a kick out of that.
Cravings/Aversions: I don't really crave anything anymore but I feel hungry all day everyday.  Whether it's carrots or cookies, I will eat anything if it is front of me.  (Besides BBQ)
Maternity Clothes: My SIL is letting me borrow a few tops to carry me through this last month which I am very grateful for.  The pretty shower dress I bought got a little too short for this belly after I had to get it altered so mom and I made a trip to Motherhood Maternity and ended up getting a different dress that is just as cute and is much more comfortable since it is maternity.  Other than that, I have one pair of jeans that fit me, or that I can actually wear the whole day and not be uncomfortable.  As far as tops go, there are only a few that still fit over my belly.  I honestly never thought I would be so ready to get back in my regular clothes.
Best moment this week: Going to my first weekly appointment!
Next appointment: Next Monday, the 24th.

-I got "checked" for the first time at my appointment on Monday.  I haven't progressed any and she isn't measuring early anymore but I was so thankful to hear a healthy heartbeat and to share that with Addison.  Dr. Mascorro said this is all right on track and normal at 36 weeks.
-We have our first and only shower this Saturday which I could not be more excited for!!  Things are starting to get real!

35 Weeks

Yup, I missed the mark again.  Three weeks later and I am finally updating.  I hope to start updating every week as I will be going to the doctor every week!  Let's hope I can stick to this.  The last few weeks have been pretty uneventful but very busy.  After my wreck, I went about a week without a car, so that was fun trying to get rides everywhere.  I went shopping with one of good friends, Katie, and found a non-maternity baby shower dress at Dillard's...score!  Can't wait to wear it post pregnancy as I'm sure it will look completely different.  Maybe an Easter dress?

Mom and I have continued our weekly bible study at Beltway and have enjoyed getting to meet other women and be in fellowship together.  We can't believe that next Wednesday is our last study together.  I am very excited for the next study and hope to do it at home and stay on track with the ladies at church.

Two weekends ago, Addison's twin brother, Abe, and his wife, Courtney moved back to Abilene from Corpus!!  We all went to high school and college together.  We went our separate ways for a little bit and now they're back!  Not to mention, they are pregnant with their first little one as well due in August!  It is such an exciting time having three first cousins within 8 months of each other.  Addison's sister, Ashlee, had a sweet baby girl, Macee at the end of December, Tatum will be here in March and "Baby T" will be here in August!  That makes 10 grandchildren for Addison's parents.  What sweet blessings.

Last Monday (a week and a half ago) I had one of my last two-week appointments with Dr. Mascorro.  My mom and dad both went with me this time.  My dad was so funny taking pictures the whole time (without me knowing until afterwards)!  Tatum's heartbeat went up from 139 to 154 which I just think is interesting.  Head is still down and she is still a very active little thing as we could barely catch her heartbeat just in time for her to move again. I can't wait to start going every week and get this show on the road!  Speaking of Monday's, I also do a "Bachelor night" with 3-4 other girls which has been so much fun to look forward to every week and get in some girl time!

Mom and I headed to Dallas last Wednesday after bible study for one last girls trip to shop and hang out.  We planned on coming home Thursday but instead had to stay an extra night because of the bad weather.  This just gave us extra time to relax and watch movies.  On our way home we stopped in Fort Worth and had lunch with my brother, Trent.  I always love seeing my brothers and they are loving getting to see Tatum grow and grow!  It really is so sweet to see them loving on her already.
Addison has been busy at work, but when he's not working we are soaking up every second with each other.  We are SO excited for our little girl to be here but know that things will never be the same.  We are trying to take every opportunity to just be together and enjoy each other's company.  We have learned so much about each other these past nine months and have grown closer than ever.  My respect level has shot up even further than before as he has been completely selfless and done so much for me over this pregnancy.  I will never look at him the same after all of this because of how he has cherished me and truly put me first after our Almighty God.  Thank you Lord for my sweet husband.

*Three books that I have read throughout my pregnancy that have helped in creating this level of respect for my husband have included, "Politically Incorrect Wife" (I did this as a book study with three other women and I think we can all testify that every married woman should read this!), "Power of a Praying Wife" (I either start or end my day reading this.  It helps me to connect with my husband even when I am not with him and lift him up in prayer), and "Pure Joy" (I was told about this book early in my pregnancy.  It is a true joy to read scripture and pray over our sweet girl together or separately.  It simply allows us to speak life into our unborn child while creating a special husband and wife bond as well.).

Phew!  I think that pretty much sums up the past three weeks.  Now for the bump date!
35 Weeks
How far along: 35 weeks, 4 days
Due date: March 15th
Size: 18 in, 5.25 lb's.  Size of a honeydew melon.
Sleep:  Sleep is very unpredictable right now.  Some nights are good, other nights I stay awake for hours.  All in preparation to stay up with this little girl!
Movement: I have felt lots and lots of movement lately.  Since she can't quite "kick" anymore, due to lack of space, she is very good at streeettchhinnggg out every body part until I literally push them back in my belly.  It hurts.  Especially when she hits a bone, like my right hip bone... :| She is also making her descend downward so I am feeling tons of pressure.  Addison thinks its hilarious when I all of the sudden yell her name out because she's not being very nice to me.  Oh, the joys of being nine months pregnant.
Cravings/Aversions: Still loving orange juice.
Maternity Clothes: In all maternity clothes.  Most days I can be seen wearing sweat pants and a comfy shirt.
Best moment this week: Everyday has had some pretty good moments!
Next appointment: February 17th! (Next Monday) Can't wait to see if I have progressed any.

-The swelling is here to stay.  I cannot wear any of wedding bands so I just switch out a few bigger rings I have and put them on my ring finger.
-We have all of Tatum's furniture finally in her room, ready to fill after the shower!
-Blood work came back and I am still anemic (pretty sure this doesn't go away so I don't know why they took me off iron for a few weeks to see what would happen?) I was put back on an extra dose of iron which I will continue to take after my pregnancy as well.  Other than that, everything was great.

See you next week!

32 Weeks!

Even though I am already 33 weeks I thought I would still go ahead and update up to 32 weeks to stay on track...

We're getting closer and closer to meeting our sweet girl.  Add and I talk constantly about how we're just ready for her to be here.  It's almost like apart of our family is missing without her.  We have so many plans already in the making that include her...all we need is her!  We have been looking up newborn photographers and trying to get maternity pictures done pretty soon before I swell up like a balloon.  (As if I haven't already.)  If you saw the post on her room, it is even coming along more and more everyday.  My mom and I have had a lot of fun getting it together!

This week has been so crazy.  I wasn't even sure if I should do an update but if I am being honest and keeping this as a "journal" I thought I should go ahead and continue on.  The week started out great by getting to hear Tatum's heart beat on Monday and finding out that she is still head down and measuring a week early.  Yay!  Wednesday, had bible study, lunch with Addison and helped mom out the rest of the day.  Thursday, I had a haircut in the morning and on my way back home to let Millie out and then help my mom the rest of the day, I got in a little wreck...in my new car.  I was so mad that I had wrecked my new car but thankfully Addison was very understanding and very sweet about the whole situation.  I knew that if I didn't call my OB's office and let them know, I would be in big trouble at my next appointment.  I thought they would give me some things to watch for over the phone and we would be good, but oh was I wrong.
I text Add this pic to let him know what he was missing :)

They wanted me to go to labor and delivery, get some blood work done and get monitored for a while.  Well, a while turned in to about 4.5 hours and since I hand't eaten since 8:00 that morning, I was starving!  During those 4.5 hours, they hooked me up to a heart rate monitor and contraction monitor as well as gave me an IV so I wouldn't get dehydrated and got lots of blood work done.  My mom was so sweet to stay with me the whole time to keep me company.  Besides having a few contractions that I didn't even feel, everything turned out to be just fine.  By the time we finally got to leave, I was exhausted and yet I hadn't even done anything!  I got a good 10-11 hours of sleep that night which was awesome.  Yesterday, I continued on and helped my mom prepare for a birthday party she was having at her house and ended the day by taking dinner to Ashlee and Dallas and getting to spend some time with them and our sweet niece's.  I am definitely ready for a new week to say the least!
Seems like I can only get in mirror pics these days...
32 Weeks
How far along: 32 weeks, 4 days when this picture was taken.  (Now 33 weeks, 0 days)
Due Date: March 15th
Size: 16.69 inches, 3.75 pounds. Size of a large jicama.
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good this week.  I still wake up about twice to go to the bathroom and every once in a while to roll over to my other side.  I'm sure Addison feels like an earthquake is happening when I have to roll over.
Movement: I have noticed a little less movement but that doesn't mean she still isn't moving all the time.  She is still a very active little girl.
Cravings/Aversions: Loving orange juice and "Cuties"...bad news when I run out of either.  The idea of BBQ still makes me sick to my stomach.
Maternity Clothes: In all maternity clothes and stretching out those shirts like crazy!  I never thought I would be so excited to get back in to normal clothes but I simply cannot wait to actually button my pants.
Best moment this week: Hearing her 139 heart beat, of course.  She has grown lots since the beginning when her heart rate was 165!
Next Appointment: February 3rd!  Still just to check the heart beat, get results on my last (3rd) round of blood work and make sure she is still positioned well.

-Swelling has also begun as of last week.  I have begun to just wear one of my wedding bands.
-I had to get the whooping cough shot on Monday and man does it make your arm sore the day after!
-Baby shower plans are on their way.  We are so blessed to have such sweet family and friends that want to do this for us.  I cannot wait for February 22nd!
-Started another Beltway bible study on Wednesday mornings that will end right before Tatum should get here.  Any suggestions on bible studies I can do at home after Tatum gets here?

Can't wait for what the next two weeks will bring and am still thanking God for keeping us safe this week!

30 Weeks

Wow, almost 31 weeks already!  We have been in the 3rd trimester for a couple weeks now and just entered the 8th month!  I can honestly say I have no idea where the time went, but I hope it slows down once our sweet girl gets here.  Since we got home from Taos on the 2nd, we Addison has made lots of progress on the nursery.  After putting quarter round around the trim and a fresh coat of paint to go with it, the floors are completely done!  Thank you Add and Pa for getting that completed! Curtains are hung, rocker/ottoman are finally in her room, the furniture should be done getting painted any day now and we still have to find a rug, but it is finally starting to look like a nursery!

On Monday, I had a doctor's appointment and it went really well.  I can't thank the Lord enough for such an amazing and uneventful pregnancy.  Even when I think I feel bad I know there are women going through things much worse.  My blood pressure has remained great my whole pregnancy, weight gain is still in the healthy range (phew!), Tatum was a little thing at first but has now caught up and is actually measuring a week early (we'll see how that turns out), her heart rate was 140 and her head is down!  Just a few more weeks of gaining some chub and little girl will be ready to make her debut!  There are so many people waiting on you sweet girl.

In other news, my mom, cousin Keri and I went and registered today!  It was a little tiring thinking of everything that she will need.  I was glad I had Keri with me to think about things like baby Tylenol and such.  This way I will have one giant list of almost absolutely everything we will need for her arrival.  Such an exciting time.  I have been extremely thankful for my sister-in-law Ashlee, cousin Keri and my life group leader, Kendra, for helping me out and letting me know things that worked or didn't work for their little ones.  I can't wait to start a list of my own favorite things once she gets here.

Tomorrow, I will be heading to Dallas for one last girls trip before little miss makes her debut.  Since I wasn't sure exactly when I have to quit traveling we thought we better be safe than sorry and go in January.  I can't wait to get in some girl time, go shopping and also see one of my best friends, Lauren that lives in College Station that will be meeting us there!  Dallas here we come!

At 30 weeks:
How far along: 30 weeks, 5 days
Due date: March 15 (hopefully sooner...one can wish, right?)
Size: 15.71 in, 2.91 lbs.  Size of a cabbage.
Cravings/Aversions: No strong cravings or aversions.
Sleep: Sleep?  What's that?  I have had a very hard time getting to sleep and when that finally happens I usually wake up at least every couple hours to either go to the bathroom or roll over.  This week I have stayed awake from about 4:00-6:00am just laying in bed sitting straight up to give my hips a rest.  Reading the last book in the Hunger Games makes those early morning hours go by faster when your in pain.  When Add leaves for work I take up the whole bed and stretch forever to try and get the soreness out.  I have always thought the hardest thing about having a baby would be the lack of sleep.  Now, I know it will still be way different when she actually gets here and is screaming her head off at 3am, but I definitely think the Lord is molding and preparing me for that lack of sleep now which I am so thankful for.  Poor Addison usually wakes up with me and has been quite tired this week as well.
Movement: She is moving, kicking, hiccuping and rolling like crazy.  I will feel her kick my right hip bone and then instantly kick my left rib cage.  She is crazy.  Sometimes I wonder if she ever sleeps in there.  It seems to me that she is very very active but I don't have another pregnancy to compare it to.  I can't wait to see what she will be like once she gets here.
Maternity clothes: Definitely in all maternity clothes.  Some of my maternity tops are even too short now.  How is that even possible?  I just need a few to get me through the next 9 weeks and I'll be good.  I have told myself over and over again that a summer pregnancy is definitely the way to go next time.  Floating in the pool, maxi dresses and flip-flops (oh how I miss not grunting and getting out of breath every time I try to put my socks and boots on) is sounding pretty good right now.
Best moment this week: Finishing the floors in T's room and nailing down a date for her shower!
Next appointment: January 20th.  We have moved to appointments every two weeks.  I hope this makes the time fly by!
