I think 10 week is a good time to start documenting this sweet pea! At 10 weeks, (I still can't believe it has already been 10 weeks) I am feeling pretty good! I can tell I am a lot more emotional these days but a little time alone to regroup and I am good. I am still cramping pretty bad which I hope will subside soon. Also, the bloating still has not let up since I found out I was pregnant. I am ready for both of those to go away and to actually start showing and not look like I ate too much macaroni. (This means no tummy pic this week because there is nothing to show!)
I haven't really had any crazy cravings, just usually whatever I pass on the highway or see on TV I have to have. Now that I am feeling better, I am trying to cook a little bit, staying away from fast food as much as possible and am even going to start working out again on Monday. (fingers crossed) Before now, cooking and working out seemed absolutely miserable.
We had our first ultrasound about 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely wonderful to hear a strong heart beat and to hear that he/she is healthy and growing. We get to hear the heart beat again in about a week. This week baby is about 1 1/2 inches long, or the size of a prune.
I can tell that my waist is getting bigger, but from what I hear, it's not actually baby, rather bloating and water weight. Maternity clothes still freak me out a little but I have heard they are absolutely wonderful when it comes time.
I get up one to two times per night to use the restroom but have heard that gets better in the second trimester. It doesn't really make sense to me since the baby is only getting bigger but I'll take it! Other than that, sleep is not great and between Add and Millie one of us is usually fighting over a spot to sleep.
Something funny that happened this week: Add had a friend come over and told us that he would be getting married next May in College Station. We always love a good reason to get back to College Station and enjoy being around all of the other crazy Aggies. I was already getting excited about taking off to CS and having a fun weekend with friends until I realized, "holy moly we'll have a 2 month old at the wedding!" Now that just made us more excited and we cannot wait to take our "future aggie" to College Station for the first time next May!
It hits us little by little every week the changes we have ahead but we would not have it any other way. I just don't know how we are going to be able to wait until March! Little one, we are already so excited to meet you!

Trip to Mexico
Add and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary on August 6th and left the next day to spend the rest of the week in Mexico! It was really good to relax, sit by the pool/beach, swim, read and spend some quality time together. It has been a crazy couple of years and I felt that we definitely deserved some time alone...out of the country. Plus, quality time is my love language so this was a dream come true.
Now back to work, laundry and bills!

Summer Fun
This summer has been so crazy but we've had lots of good times! I get exhausted even thinking about it, really. July especially has been very busy. A lot of this month has been preparing for one of my best friend's, Christina's wedding. I helped my mom with all of the decorations for her shower at the Country Club. My mom worked so hard to make it absolutely beautiful, not to mention with a knee that was hurting her the whole time. She really does have the biggest heart in wanting to help and do her best at everything. I think I could take a few lessons from her
The week after the shower, Add and I watched Keri and J's four kids for three nights. Add had a few work meetings at night so it was mostly me there watching them and even though I was exhausted to say the least, I constantly reminded myself to be the best babysitter/cousin to them that week. Keri and J hardly ever leave their kids with anyone so it was an honor to be able to stay with them. Laurel and Carter were awesome in helping me take care of Chandler and Kinley. They were so good the whole week.
I had about 24 hours to come home and prepare for Christina's bachelorette weekend in Austin.
It was fun to celebrate Christina and her last week as a single girl! I was still trying to recover from the previous week of watching the kids so I was tired most of the time but still had fun.
We had another week to prepare for Christina's wedding week! I was having her lingerie shower at our house the night before the wedding so my mom helped me clean and get the house ready for a ton of girls to come shower Christina in lingerie! Like I said before, my mom really is the best, I don't know what I would do without her. The next morning we went straight to the church to get ready and get Drew and Christina married!
The wedding was absolutely beautiful and I am so happy for Drew and Christina and their new life together!
We had to leave a little early from the reception because we were meeting Addison's family at the Frio River. I mentioned in an earlier post that I had never been before and it did not disappoint! The weather was perfect and even though the river was down, we had so much fun just relaxing and being with family. It was just what we needed after a few crazy weeks.
As of now, Add and I are still recovering from this crazy July but we are having to gear up again for our 2nd Anniversary/Mexico in a week and a half! Now this, I am super excited for. I am excited for a massage, laying in the sun on the beach, sleep, good food and some quality time with handsome hubby.

Routines
Lately, Add and I have really been trying to get in a good routine. It seems like summer always throws us off a little bit since we're going here and there all the time but when we're home, we try to stick to somewhat of a routine.
In May, I left First Financial as an HR Specialist and went to work for my parents for the time being to help my mom recoup and do what was needed around the house since she could not. Since then, (and not just because of me) her wounds are completely closed up on her knee (from her knee replacement almost 5 months ago) and she is now getting to do some therapy on it 3x per day. During this time it is very important that she still does not push it farther than needed which is where I come in. I feel very blessed and thankful that I am able to help out for the time being and praise God for her process and healing!!
When I get home after work, I get about an hour to myself to clean up and get supper started before Add comes in hungry and tired! I try to cook dinner at least 4 out of the 5 nights during the week. Add has done really well with his workout routine, as for me, I am walking/running about 4-5 times a week and trying to incorporate lifting weights as well. It is hard going from taking workout classes everyday to trying to come up with your own workouts. (I ended my membership with Hendrick Health Club when I left FFB)
Other than that, we have really been enjoying having friends and family over as we now have a functioning kitchen and a cozy living room to gather. We have also really enjoyed our life group on Monday nights. It is full of real people who truly want to share life together and encourage one another. We are so blessed to have found them!
We have a few busy months ahead but I am so excited! In July, I will be heading to Austin one weekend for one of my best friend's bachelorette party as well as attending the wedding the following weekend. We will also be going to the Frio River to soak up some sun and spend some time with Add's family. They do this trip every year and this will be my FIRST year to get to go! The past 8 years I have either been at camp, on a family vacation or been involved in weddings. I am very excited to finally get to go! In August we will be heading to Mexico for our 2nd Anniversary!
I love summer time, swimming, laying in the sun, vacations but I'm not gonna lie...I may have told my mom the other day that I am already ready for fall to be here. For now, I am trying to enjoy this 100 degree weather and blasting our window unit :)
Update on our bedroom and living room next! We hope you have a blessed week!
