32 Weeks!

Even though I am already 33 weeks I thought I would still go ahead and update up to 32 weeks to stay on track...

We're getting closer and closer to meeting our sweet girl.  Add and I talk constantly about how we're just ready for her to be here.  It's almost like apart of our family is missing without her.  We have so many plans already in the making that include her...all we need is her!  We have been looking up newborn photographers and trying to get maternity pictures done pretty soon before I swell up like a balloon.  (As if I haven't already.)  If you saw the post on her room, it is even coming along more and more everyday.  My mom and I have had a lot of fun getting it together!

This week has been so crazy.  I wasn't even sure if I should do an update but if I am being honest and keeping this as a "journal" I thought I should go ahead and continue on.  The week started out great by getting to hear Tatum's heart beat on Monday and finding out that she is still head down and measuring a week early.  Yay!  Wednesday, had bible study, lunch with Addison and helped mom out the rest of the day.  Thursday, I had a haircut in the morning and on my way back home to let Millie out and then help my mom the rest of the day, I got in a little wreck...in my new car.  I was so mad that I had wrecked my new car but thankfully Addison was very understanding and very sweet about the whole situation.  I knew that if I didn't call my OB's office and let them know, I would be in big trouble at my next appointment.  I thought they would give me some things to watch for over the phone and we would be good, but oh was I wrong.
I text Add this pic to let him know what he was missing :)

They wanted me to go to labor and delivery, get some blood work done and get monitored for a while.  Well, a while turned in to about 4.5 hours and since I hand't eaten since 8:00 that morning, I was starving!  During those 4.5 hours, they hooked me up to a heart rate monitor and contraction monitor as well as gave me an IV so I wouldn't get dehydrated and got lots of blood work done.  My mom was so sweet to stay with me the whole time to keep me company.  Besides having a few contractions that I didn't even feel, everything turned out to be just fine.  By the time we finally got to leave, I was exhausted and yet I hadn't even done anything!  I got a good 10-11 hours of sleep that night which was awesome.  Yesterday, I continued on and helped my mom prepare for a birthday party she was having at her house and ended the day by taking dinner to Ashlee and Dallas and getting to spend some time with them and our sweet niece's.  I am definitely ready for a new week to say the least!
Seems like I can only get in mirror pics these days...
32 Weeks
How far along: 32 weeks, 4 days when this picture was taken.  (Now 33 weeks, 0 days)
Due Date: March 15th
Size: 16.69 inches, 3.75 pounds. Size of a large jicama.
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good this week.  I still wake up about twice to go to the bathroom and every once in a while to roll over to my other side.  I'm sure Addison feels like an earthquake is happening when I have to roll over.
Movement: I have noticed a little less movement but that doesn't mean she still isn't moving all the time.  She is still a very active little girl.
Cravings/Aversions: Loving orange juice and "Cuties"...bad news when I run out of either.  The idea of BBQ still makes me sick to my stomach.
Maternity Clothes: In all maternity clothes and stretching out those shirts like crazy!  I never thought I would be so excited to get back in to normal clothes but I simply cannot wait to actually button my pants.
Best moment this week: Hearing her 139 heart beat, of course.  She has grown lots since the beginning when her heart rate was 165!
Next Appointment: February 3rd!  Still just to check the heart beat, get results on my last (3rd) round of blood work and make sure she is still positioned well.

-Swelling has also begun as of last week.  I have begun to just wear one of my wedding bands.
-I had to get the whooping cough shot on Monday and man does it make your arm sore the day after!
-Baby shower plans are on their way.  We are so blessed to have such sweet family and friends that want to do this for us.  I cannot wait for February 22nd!
-Started another Beltway bible study on Wednesday mornings that will end right before Tatum should get here.  Any suggestions on bible studies I can do at home after Tatum gets here?

Can't wait for what the next two weeks will bring and am still thanking God for keeping us safe this week!

Addison's Half Marathon!

Last Saturday morning, Addison and I headed to Austin for his first Half Marathon!  I am so proud of him for all his hard work that he put in to training and preparing.  He is such an amazing example to me, and will be to Tatum, that you really can do anything you set your mind to.

As I stood watching him run by at the 5 1/2 mile marker I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotions.  I was just so proud.  Maybe it is all these crazy hormones that are running through me.  I look up to him so much and I know Tatum will too.
The finish line!
Addison's friend from work also ran it with him!
Add, I am so proud of you!  I had so much fun watching you and cannot wait until your next one!  I love you.

New Bathroom and Sneak Peak of the Nursery

Tatum's bathroom is completely finished!  Since we do not have a shower in our master bathroom, we were walking across the house (not a long distance) to shower in the extra bathroom in our sitting/dining room.  Well, now that Add has her bathroom finished we just walk down the hall and shower in hers.  We're not really sure how this will work out once she gets her since we won't want to wake her up but we'll figure it out.  Here is the old and new bathroom!
There was a stand-up shower in the back left corner of this picture.
Above the toilet.
"Hello Beautiful" print and you can see the real colors that are in the hand towel.
Finally a bathtub/shower combo!
We love the way everything turned out.  Another project down!
As far as the nursery goes, I started with the wall colors.  Three light pink walls and one brighter pink.  Add took out the carpet and refinished the beautiful hardwood floors and painted the trim after the quarter round went up.  Next, to tone down the walls I did plain white cotton curtains with a tiny bit of texture.
I am in love with her rug and rocker/ottoman!
I have a thing for all things linen and before we even knew if this baby was a boy or girl I knew I wanted a comfy linen rocker that would last through the years and would function just fine in another room of the house if needed and for either gender.  The rocker can be turned into a chair as well.  Add and I absolutely love it and can't wait to rock our sweet girl, but for now, Millie loves being rocked like our baby.
This giant giraffe makes us laugh but it really is pretty cute in the corner of her room. The extremely soft teddy bear and Jenny Lind rocker were a sweet gift.
I ordered these four prints (that are waiting to be hung until after we get her furniture back next week) pretty much right after we found out we were having a girl.  Three of them are verses and one has a "T" on it with her name at the bottom.  They add color and a little personalization.  I'll update more on these later!
I got this is as a gift from GayGay (my mother-in-law) for Christmas to hang all her bows on!  I knew as soon as I got it exactly where it needed to go and I had Add hang it as soon as he could.  We don't actually use that light switch and it has always bugged me so hopefully the ribbon and bows will cover it up.

Last but not least, I am in love with this sweet lamp that my mom and I found on sale.  It will eventually sit on a side table that is next to her crib.  The base is white, the flower is cream and the shade pretty much matches her rocker perfectly when the light is off.

That's all the sneak peaks I have for now!  My mom has been awesome in helping me get her room together.  She has an eye for things that I would have never even seen and I can't wait to tell T that her grandmother had a huge part in all of it.  (Even though I'm sure Tatum already knows because grandma talks to her quite often.) I often find myself sitting in her rocker wondering what it will be like to actually have her in my arms.  I hope she loves her room as much as I do!

30 Weeks

Wow, almost 31 weeks already!  We have been in the 3rd trimester for a couple weeks now and just entered the 8th month!  I can honestly say I have no idea where the time went, but I hope it slows down once our sweet girl gets here.  Since we got home from Taos on the 2nd, we Addison has made lots of progress on the nursery.  After putting quarter round around the trim and a fresh coat of paint to go with it, the floors are completely done!  Thank you Add and Pa for getting that completed! Curtains are hung, rocker/ottoman are finally in her room, the furniture should be done getting painted any day now and we still have to find a rug, but it is finally starting to look like a nursery!

On Monday, I had a doctor's appointment and it went really well.  I can't thank the Lord enough for such an amazing and uneventful pregnancy.  Even when I think I feel bad I know there are women going through things much worse.  My blood pressure has remained great my whole pregnancy, weight gain is still in the healthy range (phew!), Tatum was a little thing at first but has now caught up and is actually measuring a week early (we'll see how that turns out), her heart rate was 140 and her head is down!  Just a few more weeks of gaining some chub and little girl will be ready to make her debut!  There are so many people waiting on you sweet girl.

In other news, my mom, cousin Keri and I went and registered today!  It was a little tiring thinking of everything that she will need.  I was glad I had Keri with me to think about things like baby Tylenol and such.  This way I will have one giant list of almost absolutely everything we will need for her arrival.  Such an exciting time.  I have been extremely thankful for my sister-in-law Ashlee, cousin Keri and my life group leader, Kendra, for helping me out and letting me know things that worked or didn't work for their little ones.  I can't wait to start a list of my own favorite things once she gets here.

Tomorrow, I will be heading to Dallas for one last girls trip before little miss makes her debut.  Since I wasn't sure exactly when I have to quit traveling we thought we better be safe than sorry and go in January.  I can't wait to get in some girl time, go shopping and also see one of my best friends, Lauren that lives in College Station that will be meeting us there!  Dallas here we come!

At 30 weeks:
How far along: 30 weeks, 5 days
Due date: March 15 (hopefully sooner...one can wish, right?)
Size: 15.71 in, 2.91 lbs.  Size of a cabbage.
Cravings/Aversions: No strong cravings or aversions.
Sleep: Sleep?  What's that?  I have had a very hard time getting to sleep and when that finally happens I usually wake up at least every couple hours to either go to the bathroom or roll over.  This week I have stayed awake from about 4:00-6:00am just laying in bed sitting straight up to give my hips a rest.  Reading the last book in the Hunger Games makes those early morning hours go by faster when your in pain.  When Add leaves for work I take up the whole bed and stretch forever to try and get the soreness out.  I have always thought the hardest thing about having a baby would be the lack of sleep.  Now, I know it will still be way different when she actually gets here and is screaming her head off at 3am, but I definitely think the Lord is molding and preparing me for that lack of sleep now which I am so thankful for.  Poor Addison usually wakes up with me and has been quite tired this week as well.
Movement: She is moving, kicking, hiccuping and rolling like crazy.  I will feel her kick my right hip bone and then instantly kick my left rib cage.  She is crazy.  Sometimes I wonder if she ever sleeps in there.  It seems to me that she is very very active but I don't have another pregnancy to compare it to.  I can't wait to see what she will be like once she gets here.
Maternity clothes: Definitely in all maternity clothes.  Some of my maternity tops are even too short now.  How is that even possible?  I just need a few to get me through the next 9 weeks and I'll be good.  I have told myself over and over again that a summer pregnancy is definitely the way to go next time.  Floating in the pool, maxi dresses and flip-flops (oh how I miss not grunting and getting out of breath every time I try to put my socks and boots on) is sounding pretty good right now.
Best moment this week: Finishing the floors in T's room and nailing down a date for her shower!
Next appointment: January 20th.  We have moved to appointments every two weeks.  I hope this makes the time fly by!

Christmas and our Taos Vacation

I cannot believe we are already a few days into 2014!  We had  so much fun celebrating Christmas with our families and a wonderful ski vacation to wrap up 2013.

To start the celebration's we attended Addison's FDLIC work party at the Civic Center.  We have some really good friends that also work there so it was a great night of fun and celebrating another year with an amazing company!
Christina and me-one of my best childhood friends!
Me and my honey ;)
Bradye and Katie! Love them so much.
Add and I have been looking to buy an SUV ever since we found out I was pregnant.  If I would have had to make my two-door Honda Accord work, I could have, but thankfully I have a husband who cares about mine and Tatum's safety while were cruisin' around town.  It will also help save my back and be so much easier to get her in and out.  After searching and searching we narrowed it down to a Jeep Grand Cherokee and started looking for the best deal.  A few days before Christmas we made the drive to Weatherford to pick up our new car!

We love it!
Christmas Eve morning I met up with some of my best high school friends for a gift exchange!  We actually had lunch the day before and then breakfast Christmas Eve.  This is always so hard to do with everyone going every which way, so getting together two times in one break was amazing!
We were just missing a few that couldn't make it!
We started celebrating Christmas with Addison's family which is always so much fun.  When Tatum arrives, she will be grandchild #9 for Pa and GayGay, so you can imagine how exciting and fun it is when all of his family is in town.  I cannot wait to see Tatum in the middle of it all next year with her cousins.  She even had her own pile of presents and she's not even here yet!  We often find ourselves overwhelmed with the love and support we receive from our families already.  We had Christmas lunch with my mom's side of the family and ended the day opening presents with my parents and brothers.
We headed home pretty early so we could finish packing and get some rest before we headed to Taos the next morning.  The boys had such a blast skiing, hot-tubbing and hanging out with us girls when possible.  Since mom and I couldn't ski we bundled up and took the dogs (Rudy and Millie) on walks everyday, did some shopping, watched movies in the room while the snow came down, drank lots of hot chocolate and ate some really good food.  We always looked forward to the boys getting back around 4:00 so we could all hang out and go to dinner.  Believe it or not here are just a few pics I took while we there!

Three years ago on New Year's Eve we were getting engaged!

Mom and I also scoped out rooms/cabins for next year.  Things are going to change with a little one around!  I can't wait when we will return with a crazy little 9 month old!

Last but not least, we hit 29 weeks pregnant while we there so of course, I had Add document it.  I think I have maybe one bump picture where I am actually wearing makeup and look half-way decent.  Oh well, here's to another no-makeup, sweats-wearing bump update!
29.5 weeks-feeling huge
Since 30 weeks is in just a few days, I will wait to do the full update then.

2013 was very good to us but I have a feeling 2014 will be even better! :)  Happy New Year!
